Ward Development

The Ward Family has been developing real estate construction and development for nearly seven decades. George T. Ward began home building in 1957 and development in 1960 in Blue Springs, Missouri. David Ward began commercial and residential development as well as home building in eastern Jackson County in 1978. Tony and Clayton Ward began working with the Family business in 2002. It has been a family affair since. We are a family building for families to create communities to live, grow, and work. During the time from 2004 to 2007, the Ward Family was one of the largest residential home builders in Kansas City.

In addition to residential building and development, Ward Family affiliates are also large Commercial and Industrial developers and investors. During the 1990s and 2000’s the Ward Family developed and owned the 2nd largest Self Storage portfolio in the Kansas City area until they sold to Storage-Mart in 2014.

The Ward Family Entities and employees are also considered the General Contractor and Builder on all of its own projects whether they be residential lot development, home building or commercial development and construction.

Ward Development also has an in-house architecture division that completes most of its architectural plans and designs.
